New reprint of Ginkgopolis coming in 2020 re Pearl Games on Twitter!
Ryan Brubaker
#9 Rococo is getting a Deluxe Edition!
Andrew Dumas
Eminent Domain could be a good comparison to Glory to Rome.
Βασίλης Κάρκουλας
I have never played SOS Titanic, but a solitaire inspired game I really enjoy is Zombie Solitaire.
Hieronymus Pseudonymous
Palaces of Carrara can be played on BoardGameArena.
Wendy McIlroy
We love Carcassonne the Castle as well. Definitely our fav. It's a little cut-throat though, as we're constantly stealing each other's castles. This is about as nasty as we get in our games. We also love Sid Sackson's Acquire. Have you and Jen played that?

Hi Rahdo, just listened to your podcast in which you said that you had felt heartbroken about some comments on your alternatives in this video. Just wanted to give you a heads up and big digital hug! Keep up the great work and don't let pull doe by this too much! Thanks
Tony Faber
Is Goa coming back into print? I'm hoping that's the reason it wasn't in the top 10.
Emmanuel Cabuena
If I didn't watch this video, I wouldn't have known what you meant by oop, lol. I'm knew to the board game world, so I don't know most of the games mentioned here except 7th Continent because I've heard great things about this game.
Erin Dwyer
Thanks for including death angel. I would recommend either warhammer adventure card game or heroes of terrinoth

Thank you for your content! I also advise you to try Bear Park, I think it is better than Patchwork and other Tetris from Uwe. And works great for two players.
Taylor Reiner
I want SOS Titanic to be back in print sooooo bad!
KabukiKid
Yeah… it's a bit of a sin that S.O.S. Titanic hasn't gotten a reprint. Great little game. I also have always said that it would make a great app game.
KabukiKid
heh… you still have that denizens / "denziens" mental block. 😉

@rahdo – what game would you recommend as a replacement to play "Schrille Stille" (since I can't get it in the U.S.for less than $80)?
Васян Васянов
Castles of Burgundy > Grand Austria Hotel ? 🙂
listrahtes
a little strange with these remarks why rahdo did not put Discover in. I think its quite obvious he choose games as replacements that he extensively played and could recommend without a doubt. Discover is new and at this point unproven.
Time will tell and my guess is that the survival aspect could feel pretty similar but the storytelling may divide the games a lot more and thats were AH:LCG jumps right in and imo is on point as a replacement advice. The defoliation of a plot enriched with theme in a unique world.
BuckishDweeb
I thought this was a video about alternatives to Object-Oriented Programming.
Tales of Cardboard
I know this list was hard but it was a fun one to watch.
Shua Aldrich
For walnut Grove:. Seeland (rondel and tiles). For 7th continent- Discover Lands Unknown
Tor Iver Wilhelmsen
Other substitutes for Fjords: Blue Lagoon or Dokmus.
Lawrence L7337
There is no replacement for Glory to Rome… sorry. @30:02
Phillip Millman
My only comment is Import/Export for a replacement for GtR. (I will say GtR is available in Europe if you are willing to deal with another language)
Ricky Eads
Great list! Here are my alternatives:
10. Palaces of Carrara -> Vikings
(Similar resource wheel, tiles, and same designer)
9. Rococo -> Porta Nigra
(Area control via clever hand management)
8. Fjords -> Mexica
(Build up your board with tiles to surround areas for scoring)
7. Space Hulk Death Angel -> no clue
6. Ginkgopolis -> I agree with Rahdo
5. SOS Titanic -> I agree with Rahdo
4. Carcassonne the Castle -> Sunrise City
(Both are tile layers in which you don’t always want to score the maximum points, but rather a specific number of points)
3. 7th Continent -> no clue
2. Walnut Grove -> Heaven & Ale
(Punishing tile layers driven by a rondel)
1. Glory to Rome -> I agree with Rahdo, but I think Mottainai is pretty close
Marcel the Arcubal
I like how 'Music for calming, stress-free concentration' shows up in the "Play Next" sidebar when watching Rahdo. ^_^
Tracy Troutman
I'm fortunate enough to own many of these oop games, and I have to credit Rahdo for bringing most of them to my attention. It's a pity about Fjords, but that just means I'll treasure my copy all the more.

For Palaces….the first thing i thought of was Asara. But i think that is OOP also??
Nikolaj Jesper Cyon
Will there be any videos about the best games you played in Essen?
